The detached house has been lovingly renovated by the present owners to the highest possible standards, and furnished with the same attention to detail. The character of this property is complimented by the standard of fixtures and fittings, which have been so lovingly chosen giving a warm and tranquil feel throughout. The house is ideal for 2 families, or larger parties.
On the ground floor there is 1 twin bedded room, leading off the welcoming hallway. You then move to the first floor, where there is a comfortable formal lounge and the very spacious kitchen complete with full dining room facilities, and a second cozy seating area with open fireplace. There are still 2 double rooms with balconies with sea view and 1 single room decorated with nautical theme. There are 3 extra single beds available in the annex that will increase capacity to 10 persons, if required. Outside, guests enjoy a large garden, patio and shaded barbecue.

Ribeira Brava (wild stream) is a small town on the southwest coast of the island. Now a lot easier to access since the construction of the two-lane motorway from Funchal. The town boasts many street cafés and shops and is certainly the place to spend a few hours taking in the sights and sounds. The town has made enormous progress in the last few years and has geared itself up to tourism. Many new facilities keep the locals 'local' and the long sunshine hours on the west coast attract many bathing fans.
Ribeira Brava was one of the first parishes of the island and was inhabited early in the island’s history.
Writers think that its name came from the wild (Brava) river (Ribeira) that used to flow in this area and, when the rain falls heavily, occasionally it still does.
The council of Ribeira Brava includes the parishes of Ribeira Brava, Campanário, Tabua and Serra de Água.
