Originally built in the middle of last century, and renovated at the turn of the century, this large house has approx. 450 m2 of living area consisting of 6 bedrooms (5 double rooms, 1 single room with one extra mattress), 4 bathrooms, 2 guest WC, 2 huge living rooms and a dining room, library, fully equipped kitchen, small eating place next to the kitchen, outside swimming pool and heated indoors swimming pool, sun loungers, small lake in the magnificent garden that surrounds the house, garden furniture, garage and private parking place.

Maid service during stay available against fee (EUR 50 per cleaning session, paid locally).

Praia das Maçãs is located 13 Km west from Sintra. This small village offers one of the best sandy beaches in the region. Life here is still undisturbed. Only in week-ends can you meet a few more visitors looking for relaxation. In Praia das Maçãs one finds everything required for the day to day needs. There are two small supermarkets, butchery, bakery, a post office, a few shops and some good restaurants. On weekdays, there is a small open air market offering fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a lot of other items. An old tramway was reactivated, and travels again between Praia das Maçãs and the entrance of Sintra during summertime.

There are a large number of interesting places to visit in the area. Short south of Praia das Maçãs one finds Praia Grande, at the footsteps of the Sintra mountains. The small village of Azenhas do Mar (2 Km north) is an unforgettable picture, with its houses hanging on the cliff above the ocean.
