The property has wonderful views of the country side and the sea from all the windows and is just off the road on a private lane. There are interesting walks of beauty starting from your front door. It is 4 km to the beach of Calheta, 25 km to Funchal city and 40 km to the airport.

With a living area of some 150 m2, this detached house comprises 3 bedrooms in the upper floor (2 doubles, 1 twin), all light and airy and all have lovely views of the country side and sea, and 1 complete bathroom. There is a large balcony on this floor which is ideal for sunbathing or just relaxing with a book (28 m2). In the ground floor one finds a living room with comfy seating for 5 people and fireplace, dining room, 1 shower room and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside there is a garden, terrace with BBQ and garden furniture and private parking place.

Calheta is fast becoming one of the most popular towns on the South coast. It has the most interesting marina which is full of privately owned boats and yachts. Many of these offer trips out for dolphin and whale spotting, trips to the Desertas Islands, deep sea fishing and lots more. Along the side of the marina are many snack bars and restaurants where the atmosphere is electric and you mingle with the locals and tourists alike. In the evenings even live entertainment can be enjoyed. Just five minutes walk away is a protected golden sandy beach which runs very gradually into the warm blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and ideal place for young children to dig on the beach and paddle or swim in the water. Many locals swim from one part of the beach to the other for fitness as well as enjoyment. There is a large well stocked supermarket which serves all the needs of the self catering client and a bank with instant access machines.
