Approx. 700 m over the sea in the south slope lies the picturesque village of Nicolosi which counts as a "gate to the Etna" and in its environs there are a lot of other pretty small villages, All typical of this area, and rich in tradition and folklore. And if you travel here from January to April / May, you can have another experience of a quite special kind: skiing in the volcano! In the slopes of the Etna there are approx. 20 km of ski tracks, looking at the Mediterranean and at the gulf of Catania. But even if you should not go skiing here, in the course of your vacation there is a large likelihood you will also learn to love the proud volcano.
Close to Nicolosi - and therefore ideal for diverse tours to the crater or to the amusing surroundings - lays the rustic-elegant villa. It is furnished in the old, cultivated style, the rooms with raftered ceilings are spacious and comfortable.
